Wednesday's Wine Pick: Buried Hope Cabernet Sauvignon 2010

Hope can be a dangerous thing, perhaps even more so when imbibed in liquid form.  But this Cabernet Sauvignon won't disappoint, so you might want to throw a few coins into a wishing well while you're at it.

Sometimes more is less, so let me launch right into this weeks wine review.
A California wine that is cautiously optimistic.   I like it!

Tasting notes: Plum, Spice, Oak

Pair with:  Steak or hearty pasta

Cost:  $19.95 CDN

Perks:  This wine perfectly encapsulates that mid-winter angst where everyone is just about to lose it on each other until they spot that ruby-red bottle gleaming like a last chance.

Cons: Red wine is notorious for aggravating heartburn.  I know this because I'm an old fart at heart (no pun intended) and pop antacids like they are candy.

Overall Glossless Rating (based on totally unscientific and arbitrary values): 8.5/10
