Weekly Wine Pick: Wine by Joe Pinot Gris 2011

My brother's name is Joseph (Joe for short), so I figured "what's the harm in picking up a wine that bears his name?"  When I came home with this bottle in hand, my boyfriend jokingly asked whether my brother recently took up wine-making.  The answer is a resounding no, although this no fuss, no muss Oregon wine would probably be a hit with our Joe.  Maybe I'll stock a bottle or two of this brand in case he ever takes that six hour bus ride from Montreal to Toronto to visit me.

For now, let me give tell you a bit more about this Pinot Gris:

Tasting notes: Green Apple, Florals, Dry

Pair with: Cold Cuts and Cheese Plates

Cost:  $ 20.95 CDN

Perks:  This wine is smooth and goes down easy.  You may not notice you are on your 3rd glass.

Cons:  See above. This wine goes down way to easy! Just don't hog the bottle to yourself.

Overall Glossless Rating (based on totally unscientific and arbitrary values): 8.5/10
